Agile in Brisbane: SMPO

Agile in Brisbane is happening this July 2025 and we'd love to invite you to join us. Our Agile SMPO certified training will be hosted at Ampol Lubricants on 24–25 July 2025, 8 am-5 pm. This will be followed by a Scrum@Scale certified course in September, again held at Ampol Lubricants. The Agile SMPO (Scrum Master, Product Owner) course provides certification in both roles through the Agile Education Program in the US. We've tailored the content to be industry agnostic, with a strong focus on industrial and service-based sectors. Agile is no longer just for tech companies—it offers valuable benefits to anyone working in a team environment. The course builds awareness of team dynamics and project management. Attendees will create a product backlog, prioritise it, and manage a burn-down chart relevant to their roles. We’ll explore how Scrum can accelerate projects through practical exercises, case studies, and insights from leading Agile teams around the world. No prior Scrum experience is necessary. You will learn: • How to establish high-performance teams. • How to maximise outcomes and time optimisation through your meetings. • How to create a sustainable CI innovation culture to deliver great outcomes for customers. • How to speed up continuous improvement and innovation. • How to amplify project execution speed and results. The workshop is being hosted at Ampol Lubricants – 1 Tanker Street, Lytton QLD, Australia. It will be a great chance to see and learn from the Ampol team, who’ve been applying Agile principles successfully for over a year now. We like to keep our training groups small so that networking and seeing Agile in a workplace is of supreme benefit. This is a unique opportunity to look into how Ampol are using Agile to work and grow.
